Who are Easy Speakers?

Easy Speakers Toastmasters Club  is a local chapter of Toastmasters International and has been thriving since 1980.  If you want to improve your communication skills, you will want to attend our club meetings. Our membership is diverse in age, tenure, speaking skills, ethnicity, career backgrounds, and interests, which provides for a rich exchange of information and wonderful  camaraderie.  All of us value the inspiration and positive energy created from our common interest to improve ourselves.

Easy Speakers focuses both on the educational part of Toastmasters as well as developing relationships and having fun. We learn from each other every week.  Whether your interest is to become a better listener, an articulate conversationalist, or overcome your fears of speaking in front of a large or small group, our club will give you all the encouragement and support you need to reach your goal.  We’re always looking for new members, with or without any experience.

What is the Toastmasters Program?

Toastmasters is internationally recognized as a leading educational authority on public speaking.  Toastmasters helps you build your communication and leadership skills through local club meetings, educational seminars, conferences and speech contests.  Compared to other public speaking programs, Toastmasters provides an exceptional value.

Toastmasters is a self-paced, structured program that helps you build your communication and leadership skills.  Easy Speakers provides the platform to progress through the program, but does not  push any member to undertake anything that he or she may not be comfortable doing.  We’re very flexible in accommodating members with demanding schedules.  After attending a few meetings you may find yourself wanting to attend every meeting.  With regular practice, you’ll experience a growth in your self confidence and an improvement in your communication skills.

What happens at the meeting?

Every Easy Speakers meeting is interactive.  Participating in a small group provides you with many opportunities in a safe place to practice your skills whether it’s impromptu speaking,  delivering planned speeches, actively listening, providing constructive feedback, leading a meeting, or performing a specific task that supports your peers.  Experienced professionals and beginning speakers alike can benefit from our practical face-to-face learning environment.  Whether you are speaking to the board of directors, your customers, your co-workers, or your friends and family, Easy Speakers can help you do it better.

When and Where do we meet?

Easy Speakers meet every Thursday morning from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the back room at Polly’s Restaurant located at 23701 Moulton Pkwy in Laguna Hills.   Please check the directions button for detailed information and map.  Our meetings always begin and end promptly on time.

What’s the next step?

You’re welcome to attend one or several Easy Speakers meetings as a guest before joining our club.  As a guest, you’ll be warmly greeted and encouraged to observe. Participation is voluntary.  If you’ve ever been curious about Toastmasters, come to one of our meetings.

Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can improve today!  You are welcome to join us this week. You don’t even have to tell us that you are coming.  When you arrive at Polly’s Restaurant, simply go to the back of the restaurant.  If you arrive after 7 a.m. and the doors are closed, please come in anyway.  You will be glad that you did!
